Here is the next milestone in my recovery. Recall that from my last entry 10 days ago, I took a walk and just just around the corner. This morning, I was able to walk, without stopping, and mostly without leaning on the cane, about 3/4 of the way around the circle, approximately 1/10th of a mile. The distance to the lake is about twice that, but I'm confident I'll get there before long. I was also able to lift my "bad" leg high enough to get up the last step into the RV (there's nothing to easily hold on to for leverage-the rail only goes to the 3rd step so I need to hold my arm behind me in order to grasp it to go up the last step. Previously I used the walker or had Mitch grab my hand). Now that I can get inside by myself, I can go out walking without Mitch needing to be around (now I just need to discipline myself to do so!)
