Chanukkah celebration

This past Sunday (Dec. 13th) we actually got away from home for the first fun event since the pandemic.  Our shul held a Channukah "street fair" in the parking lot of a huge mall by the cinema (turns out the owner of the mall is Jewish and a supporter of the shul, which is probably why they were able to get the space).  There was a juggler on stilts, light sticks and snack bags given out (donut, gelt and a small dreidl; sorry no latkes or sufganiot).  There was a good Klezmer band and the highlight was a live performance by Freestyle BMX -- stunt bike riders.   Mitch took a bunch of photos and videos but I'm not sure when he'll get around to sending them to me to post here.  I'll update this once I get them.  In any event, it was really great to get out of the house and have an enjoyable time.  I can't even remember the last time we did that; probably back in March when the kids came down to visit and we went to the aquarium.

UPDATE:  Here is the link to the album of photos Mitch took:  https://photos.app.goo.gl/5J1jzU9Dm7PHZTYe8.  There is 1 2-second video (unfortunately camera was pointed to his foot!!!) but it is a sample of some of the music.
