After about 4 days on the antibiotic eyedrops, my eye was not getting better; in fact it was getting worse to the point where my vision was totally blurred. I made an emergency appt with an opthalmologist who diagnosed it as uveitis (an inflammation of part of eye). He gave me 2 other medications (a corticosteriod and dilation stuff). After 2 days there was a great improvement, and now (4 days later) it is almost completely better! Thank G-d for healing.
Meanwhile, surgery is now 1 week from today. I need to be at the hospital tomorrow morning by 8am for a COVID and MERS test as well as to get all my pre-op instructions. Mitch checked out the parking lot (as he passes that way often) and said I shouldn't have any problems finding a place to put the truck. I hope he's right!!!
On Friday, I have a pre-op appt with the nurse from the ortho's office, also need to be there by 8am. Don't know why it can't be by telemed though. I confess I'm getting a bit nervous now. It especially sucks that Mitch can't come into the hospital with me; he can only leave me off at the front door. At least we can video chat (in fact, the hospital will lend me a free Chromebook (tablet) if I didn't have my own device just so I could be in touch with family!
